Dr Manoj Chaturvedi

Manoj Kumar Mani Chaturvedi

 

 

Dr. Manoj K. M. Chaturvedi, currently working as Site Leader of CMS Business of GE India (GE Water & Process Technologies) at RIL, Jamnagar Site, was earlier affiliated to GTZ India as Environmental Consultant, and as Project Manager-Environmental with an environmental consultancy firm at Dubai, UAE.  Prior to his assignment in Dubai, UAE, he worked as a senior project staff at the Indian Institute of Technology-Bombay (IITB).  In April 2001, he was recruited at the CESE, IITB as a research fellow on a Sida-sponsored project entitled "Significance of Pond Systems in Treatment of Domestic wastewater in India" and was assigned to work on several other sponsored and consultancy projects funded by various international and national agencies including but not limited to Central Pollution Control Board, New Delhi, Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India, Government of Rajasthan, Government of Maharashtra, the European Union, and the World Bank as well as several industrial units. Earlier, Dr. Chaturvedi had provided his services as a project fellow to the Indian Institute of Environment Management (IIEM), where he was assigned to work on a World Bank aided project entitled "Delineation and dissemination of green corporate accounting procedures-with case studies in medium sized Textile, Pharmaceutical, and Chemical industries".

Dr. Chaturvedi received ‘Master of Science (Technology)’ degree in Environment Management from the Institute of Environment Management and Plant Sciences, Vikram University, Ujjain. During his Masters programme, he worked on various sponsored and consultancy projects of Grasim Industries Ltd. at Harihar, Karnataka, where he executed a pilot scale project entitled “Fly Ash Utilization in Agriculture”. During the masters and the doctoral programme he executed several short-term projects mostly dealing with recycle and reuse of domestic and industrial wastewaters. Besides, he has also assisted in teaching three taught courses offered by the CESE, IITB’s Faculty for B. Tech., M. Tech., and Ph.D. students of IIT Bombay including: industrial wastewater treatment and reuse; environmental computer laboratory, and environmental studies. He has more than 30 technical papers in National and International conferences.

He has been a recipient of ‘The Best Poster-Paper Award at the EnviroVision 2003 (5th Annual Conference of Indian Environmental Association entitled “Advances in Environment and Technology”) held at Mumbai, during May 29-31, 2003. In addition to the above, he has been actively involved with several national and international organization including International Organization for Biotechnology and Bioengineering (IOBB), Australia; Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM), United Kingdom; Eco-Ethics International Union, Germany; Indian Environmental Association (IEA), India; Environmental Science and Engineering Association (ESEA), Mumbai, India; and Owner and Moderator of Online Environmental Managers (OEMs), as Online Group.
